AD-TEX Coloured Bagging Render on BLUE BOARD

AD-TEX Coloured Bagging Render is a complete pre-blended thin section render, particularly suited to providing coloured texture to brick, masonry and cementitious surfaces & comes in 28 Designer Colours.

COVERAGE

Approximately 10sq metres per 20kg bag (one coat) giving a 1.5 mm thickness. We recommend to apply a minimum of 1.5mm thickness.

PACKING & STORAGE

Shelf life approx. 12 months if stored in dry conditions above 7 degrees celsius. Store undercover, off ground/flooring to protect it from water damage.

WARNING

DO NOT APPLY IN WET WEATHER OR WHEN TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 10 degrees celsius OR ABOVE 30 degrees celsius.

NOTE: Blue Board must be glued and screwed at 150mm spacing with gal. screws to common studs, as Bagging Render cannot prevent board movement and will crack if movement occurs. AD-TEX Pty Ltd for Blue Board applications can give no guarantee.

AD-TEX COLOURED BAGGING RENDER is non-toxic, but it has an alkaline nature and can be irritating to skin and eyes. WEAR APPRORIATE SAFETY EQUIPMENT, such as gloves, eye protection and dust masks as necessary.
MOIST OR DAMP CONDITIONS MAY CAUSE WHITE BLOOM.

PREPARATION

STEP 1:	The surface must be clean and free of dirt, dust, oil, paints and loose material.
STEP 2:	Mask/cover all surfaces (including glass) before priming, bagging and sealing. Wet, saturated walls should be allowed to dry out before applying AD-TEX Coloured Bagging Render.
STEP 3:	The AD-TEX PRIMER must be applied and allowed to dry before application. With Blue Board the AD-TEX Modifier is used as a Primer by mixing 1 part Modifier 2 parts fresh clean water. Example: To prime 60sq metres use 4 litres AD-TEX Modifier mixed with 8 litres of clean water.
STEP 4:	Joints should be completed at least the day before application. Trowel or brush half the depth of the joint, then place 50mm fibra-glass mesh tape (for corner supports use only SS or plastic) and then flush trowel the joint. Refer to Step 5 for mixing ratio of 1:1 for render joint.

APPLICATION

STEP 5:	For every 20kg bag of AD-TEX Coloured Bagging Render add total of 4.25 litres of liquid made up of 50% clean water with 50% AD-TEX Modifier. ADD LIQUID a little at a time, to obtain a smooth, creamy consistency. Depending on drying conditions, all liquid may not be required. NOTE: Liquid content can be adjusted to suit the texture required for a particular application, but the amount of liquid added per mix must remain consistent during the entire project. (The ratio of Modifier used remains the same).
STEP 6:	Apply bagging render by trowel, sponge trowel or other traditional bagging methods. If a gravity spray gun application is selected use 2.5 litres of water and 2.5 litres of Modifier.
STEP 7:	When more than one coat of coloured bagging render is required, undercoats should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before applying another coat.
STEP 8:	We suggest that AD-TEX Bagging Render be protected when dry by applying one full coat of AD-TEX SILICON SEALER, especially on southern walls or moisture prone areas e.g. walls not exposed to sunlight. Coverage: 100sq metres per 20 litre drum. The Silicon Sealer is very easy to apply with a roller or soft bristle broom and is a matt, colourless formula that waterproofs the surface. Note that the AD-TEX Bagging Render must be applied at least 1.5 mm thick if sealing. NOTE: AD-TEX Bagging Render should not be applied during extremely hot or windy conditions and should be protected from rain until set. Due to varying drying conditions, we recommend that an entire wall should be completed at one time. Do not patch, but recoat entire wall.
